Rich History in the Hillsboro-West End Neighborhood.

One of our favorite areas in Nashville is the Hillsboro-West End neighborhood located in the heart of Music City. This area is full of charm and has a rich architectural history with a neighborhood association that takes pride in preserving it. Founded in 1975 the Hillsboro-West End Neighborhood Association works tirelessly to improve the residential quality of the neighborhood while fostering an identity and sense of community. Believe it or not the area that makes up Hillsboro-West End is one of Tennessee’s largest historic districts with 94% of the homes being built before World War II (1939). Many of the homes still retain their original design and detailing. Some of the earliest constructed homes in this area are textbook Pyramid and American Foursquare styles with their signature hipped roofs and dormers. Another popular style and maybe the most common in the Hillsboro-West End Neighborhood is the Bungalow, with their signature porches. Other architectural styles located in the neighborhood are the Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival, and English Cottage.

Today the area is home to some of Nashville’s main attractions and popular restaurants. It is also situated within walking distance to both Vanderbilt University and Belmont University. Easy access to all major highways and thoroughfares makes it very convenient for commuters to arrive at their destination stress free.
